THE HISTORY

We are often asked how we got here and we think it is an important part of The Unforgettable Group (TUG) story.  After selling their last company co-founders Christine and Randy Meier found themselves at a unique crossroads with Randy lending his guidance and skills to businesses in the area, Christine had for the first time the opportunity to decide what she would do next.  With insight into the e-commerce market and a desire to do it her way, she embarked on creating an online pet shop her way.

While this task seemed pretty simple at face value, she found many hurdles along the way that stopped her from creating the site the way she believed an online shopping experience should be.  After many attempts at utilizing current e-commerce platforms with little success, she decided to start at the beginning pulling from her knowledge in merchandising, experience with e-commerce, and her drive to create a better way to shop online.  

What started out as a mission to create a small online pet shop, transformed into a new online platform, philosophy, and mission to change the way online shopping is done.  To help realize the big mission of providing a new way to shop online, Christine requested the help of Randy and a group of advisors across industries to explore the idea in depth and to create a path to bring the concept to life.

The overwhelming response was to document the details and file a provisional process patent, which became the immediate focus, garnering a patent-pending status with the process ongoing today, along with documenting details of the platform, philosophy, and roadmap for a new way to shop online, they refer to as e-shopping.  

While e-shopping can be generally defined a form of e-commerce,  describing the business-to-consumer (B2C) model of online shopping.  And more specifically focusing on the act of a consumer purchasing goods or services directly from an online seller through websites, apps, and other platforms.  The Unforgettable Group expands that definition to encapsulate the consumer online shopping experience as a journey of discovery, entertainment, and satisfaction.

E-shopping (verb) - the act of shopping online on an e-shopping platform that is inspired by in-person shopping and blanketed with the benefits of being online, allowing the shopper to navigate  their shopping journey through the choices they make presenting them with destination shop options, each filled with curated products organized into collections, themes, or solutions to browse for discovery, entertainment, and satisfaction.

This more refined definition of e-shopping has been the driving force from the beginning leading the TUG team to bring to life a new destination that was inspired by in-person shopping, streamlines the online shopping process, and removes the digital noise found across most e-commerce platform.
